1989 - 2005: Founding and Early Growth
- 1989. 09: Segi Environment Co., Ltd. established.
- 2008. 04: Gold Medal at the 36th International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva - Reaffirming international recognition of technological prowess.
- 2004. 02: Designated as a Promising Exporting Small and Medium Business.
- 2005. 04: Gold Medal at the 33rd International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva.
- 2005. 12: Awarded the Presidential Citation for New Intellectuals of 2005 - Recognized for innovative technology and societal contributions.
2006 - 2010: Technological Development and Recognition
- 2007. 01: Recognition of the Corporate R&D Center - Strengthening specialized research and development capabilities and laying the foundation for systematic technological development.
- 2008. 04: Gold Medal at the 36th International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva - Reaffirming international recognition of technological prowess.
- 2009. 05: Awarded the Minister of Knowledge Economy Citation - Acknowledged for contributions to national economic development.
- 2010. 07: Awarded the Best Paper Award at the International Environmental Chemistry and Sustainable Technology (IECST) conference - Contributing to the advancement of environmental technology through academic research.
- 2010. 12: Silver Medal at the 2010 Invention Patent Exhibition - Achieving excellent invention results through continuous R&D.
2011 - 2015: Patent Acquisition and Business Expansion
- 2012. 07: Registration of three patents related to eco-friendly river ecological composition structures and systems in Korea (No. 1158244, No. 1158248, No. 1158247) - Securing core patents for river ecosystem restoration and water purification technology.
- 2013. 05: Awarded the Best Paper Award from the Korean Society of Environmental Technology - Continued contribution to the advancement of environmental technology through academic research.
- 2013. 12: Signed an MOU for cooperation between Korea and China for global large, small, and medium-sized businesses - Laying the groundwork for global market expansion.
- 2014. 02: Relocation of headquarters to Jeonju Knowledge Industry Center - Moving to a new headquarters with state-of-the-art facilities in line with business expansion.
- 2014. 11: Quality Mark (Q-Mark) Certification - Officially recognized for excellent product quality and reliability.
- 2015. 05: Awarded the Prime Minister's Citation on Invention Day - Recognized for contributions to national development through continuous innovation and invention activities.
- 2015. 07: Developed a unit structure for supporting photovoltaic modules and an assembly including the same.
2016 - Present: Leading Floating Solar Technology and Future Growth
- 2016. 10: Developed a floatable assembly unit for water purification devices and an assembly for water purification devices including the same.
- 2019. 06: Elected as Chairman of the International Floating Solar Club - Establishing a position as a global leader in the field of floating solar technology.
- 2020 .02: Developed a photovoltaic power generation device.
- 2020 .09: Registered patent in Korea for a floating solar power generation facility using unit structures - Strengthening technological competitiveness by securing a core patent for floating solar technology.
- 2021 .08: Developed an assembly unit equipped with an anchor pile and an assembly including the same.
- 2021 .08: Developed a floating photovoltaic power generation facility equipped with a mooring device and an algae removal device.
- 2022 : Selected for a research project by the Ministry of Economy and Finance (ICT/Tourism-Linked Water Purification Energy Net-Zero Demonstration Project Using Local Lake Water) - Selected as an institution to carry out government research projects and is dedicated to developing next-generation technologies.
- 2023 : Selected for a Woosuk University research project (Development of a wave power generator using a floating solar mooring body).
- 2024 : Registered two patents in Korea related to floating solar technology.
- 2024 : Completed Ministry of SMEs and Startups R&D project: "ICT/Tourism-Linked Water Purification Floating Solar Power Plant Using Regional Lake Water (160kW, Gokseong Simcheong Lake)" Segi Environment will continue to lead the field of environmental technology through continuous R&D and innovation, and will do its best to create a better future where humanity and nature coexist.
